Associations

The following associations are associated for a combine strategy for Tea Development in Nepal.

Nepal Tea Association

Established in 1985, supports promotional activities of Tea packagers and traders with a combine strategy.

Nepal Tea Planters Association

Nepal Tea planters Association was constituted with the ambition for the development of CTC tea industries.

Himalayan Orthodox Tea Planters Association

To further the development and promotion of Nepal's tea industry the Himalayan Orthodox Tea Planters Association (HOTPA) was formed. HOTPA is a non-profit making association, which aims to develop orthodox tea industry in the hill region, motivating small landowners for plantation and promoting the tea market abroad.

Nepal Coffee Producer's Association (NCPA)

NCPA is farmers' forum working to standardize coffee farming practicties among farmers and providing marketing supports to farmers groups.

In rural settings village dweller are unified and trying to develop the institutional mechanism conductive to input supply farming standardization and marketing arrangements. These groups are instituting the organizational culture among the farmers. As a result, farmers are using steep Landscapes for coffee farming. This steep landscape is quite vulnerable in the view of environmental balance. Poor farmers only having the steep land as a source of income and low employment status are getting better income and employment without being bonded for labour. Shades trees and inter-crops are providing them fruits and fodders, forage and manure .NCPA is working since 1991 and was registered in June 2000.It became central federation in 1997.  

Highland coffee promotion company Private Limited

Formation of this company was the historical event in coffee industry of Nepal. NCPA Central committee Agro enterprises Center (Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and three major coffee collecting and marketing companies are Nepal Coffee company, Manigram, Nepal organic coffee Products, Madanpokhara, Palpa and Everest Coffee Mills Paanchkhal, Kavre Palanchowk came into a meeting and an agreement was developed to establish one company for providing input supply, training and marketing facility for farmers groups.
