Annual Progress Review Program of the fiscal year 2074/75 was organized by National Tea and Coffee Development Board in Kathmandu on 2nd and 3rd August, 2018. Chief of all the extension and regional office presented their fiscal report. The program was chaired by Mr. Sheshkanta Gautam, Executive Director of National Tea and Coffee Development Board in the presence of valued guest Mr. Rabindra Subedi, Under Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.

This two days program focused on the activities performed by every extension and regional offices for the development of tea and coffee sub-sector of Nepal.

According to the report, NTCDB successfully organized 3rd International Tea Festival on April 6-8, 2018 in Kathmandu in the presence of 19 tea connoisseurs from 13 different countries where the trademark of Orthodox tea was also unveiled alongside.

On the other hand MIS database was created by computing the data of small farmers, plants and factory operators working in the tea area by conducting "Nepal Tea Census, 20718" in collaboration with Central Bureau of Statistics.

Similarly, with an objective of improving and developing the tea and coffee sub-sector in Pyuthan and Solukhumbu districts, construction of buildings and coffee nursery have been completed for the establishment of new  extension offices.

One of the tea extension projects consisting of largest tea plantation area in Mangalbare , Ilam has initiated program for establishment of mini factory for demonstration and training purpose.

Apart from that tea and coffee farmers support programs like provision of tea and coffee plants as a grant along with trainings on GMP, plantation, manuring, composting, processing,tea tasting workshops were also organized successfully.

On the second day of the review program various existing problems in tea and coffee sub-sector of Nepal and their probable solutions were discussed. At the end of the day Mr. Sheshkanta Gautam congratulated everybody for completing respective designated task. He cheered and  suggested everyone to be headstrong and wished luck to all the staffs for their precious inputs for NTCDB.
